Principal Accountabilities
Business
• To manage all on site logistics and local warehousing activities for the manufacturing location including:
o Receipt and storage of all direct incoming materials and semi-finished products
o Ensuring materials and semi-finished product are made available to production in line with the agreed manufacturing schedule
o To effectively store finished goods
o To make finished goods available for dispatch in line with WE Transport planning requirements
o To ensure stock accuracy of all commodities within the Logistics Center
• To ensure that the local logistics infrastructure, processes and organization can support the local manufacturing strategy and will fit into the Regional Logistics requirements.
• To support and influence the Regional Logistics by the selection of the Cluster's logistics partners
• To own the local relationship with the on-site logistics provider where outsourcing has occurred (Halle 3).
• To monitor and report on the performance of the logistics partners provided by the Cluster
• Agree continuous improvement targets, drive delivery of continuous improvement and innovation with the supplier
• Ensures implementation of Global and Cluster logistics strategy, actively participating to the new processes of integration and alignment;
• Support visibility into European Cluster supply chain operations across the network by adequately examining the logistical flow of goods & materials and inventory control for more effective forecasting and inventory planning;

Leadership
• To maintain a professional and well-motivated team, ensuring appropriate training and development to ensure succession for all key positions. And to promote coaching and champion people development so that it is cascaded to all levels of the organization - ensuring a self-sustaining organization
• To engender of a culture of Openness, supported by Change management principles - so the organization is prepared for change and innovation
• To contribute to the development of the local manufacturing strategy
• To support and implement the cluster strategy.
• To sponsor/chair a number of projects, work streams and local committees, at local and cluster level.
• To champion the one business unit, ways of working and to provide leadership to the team and support the above-factory collaborative processes
• Regularly holds meetings with team members to communicate monthly results, company news & changes, projects and discuss action plans for the next month
• Identification and development of people with potential to grow
• Ensuring all members of the teams has development plans & regular performance discussions.

Management
• Holds direct report accountable for their work, keeps the team focused on key priorities/projects and sets measures and milestones to ensure things happen as planned;
• Ensure that customs and excise regulations are observed and respected
• Responsible that all administrative processes in his area of responsibility (both electronic and paper)
• To develop and control all relevant budgets
• Ensure that BAT EH&S and Security standards are observed and respected within local logistics and external contractor.

Relationship
• To manage and develop excellent relations with internal and external stakeholders in order to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage;
• Act as the main interface between BAT, Geo SC Logistics Manager and the Lead Logistics Provider (LLP) for the region;
• Develop partnerships & good relationships with key partners- key person in relation with Geo SCSC.

Innovation
• To develop an environment which seeks continuous improvement, from ideas which come from not only within the department but the rest of the factory and other BAT locations
• Ensure that leading edge developments in Logistics and Warehousing are identified and applied within the business.
• To develop and implement: best practices, common platforms, sharing experience/knowledge with other functions and factories within Operations
