JIBS is now recruiting a Coordinator with a focus on external relations.
The recruitment is essential for JIBS education and to reach its high ambitions of impact, relevance, and collaboration with industry and practice. The role is important in connecting students and working life in education. Such ties increase the likelihood of relevant employment after graduation. With a high number of students from abroad, this is particularly important for JIBS, to ensure that all students are exposed to relevant actors and get insight into the Swedish labor market. Creating, developing, and maintaining such relations is, therefore, a strategic matter for JIBS.
WORKING TASKS
The Coordinator is to strengthen JIBS education by facilitating the link between JIBS education and the future careers of our students. This is done through support services aimed at students as well as teachers. The support is tailored to ensure that JIBS students - during their education - get relevant practical insight, hands-on experience, and have an opportunity to build a professional network. We are looking for highly motivated candidates that demonstrate excellence in the relationship and network building for JIBS.
The individual is expected to contribute to the overall development of JIBS education with a commitment to developing a network within the industry/business. The position is particularly focused on developing and maintaining external relations to secure internships and course projects of JIBS students. Moreover, the person is expected to plan and coordinate external relations events and take the lead on related outreach and external communication with partners.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified applicants have a Bachelor's degree (Master's degree is a plus) in a relevant field, for instance, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Administration, Communication, or Education. The successful applicant has experience in project management and of building and maintaining relations with organizations. The candidate is passionate about networking, has an enthusiastic approach to external relations, and is confident to take initiatives in developing ties with industry and securing internships for students.
Excellent communication skills both in Swedish and English (written and spoken), is a requirement. The candidate is digital media savvy, active on professional social media and has hands-on IT skills in Microsoft office. Established local networks with companies and organizations and understanding of both academia and business side of external relations in the Jönköping region as well as nationally and internationally is meritorious. Experience of budgeting activities and building and maintaining relations with alumni are also meritorious.

INFORMATION
The position is permanent and full-time with an initial probationary period of six months starting 1st of March 2020 or as mutually agreed.
