External Event Planner

Hays Life Science is looking for a new consultant to become an External Event Planner at AstraZeneca in Stockholm, Sweden

With a strong pipeline ahead, we are now looking for you to come and join us as our new External Event Planner in the Swedish BioPharmaceuticals team. The role will be located in Stockholm. This is an exciting opportunity where you will support BU teams (primarily sales and medical), in the execution of local meetings, activities and events. What you will do

Within your responsibilities you will coordinate and support execution of meetings and events, such as speaker-led meetings, scientific meetings, and advisory boards, and ensure local context, language, and adaption to processes when planning of those events. You will work closely with different internal and external stakeholders and assure that all tasks are of correct quality and in accordance with written procedures, current legal requirements, and internal standards. You are flexible with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks for different teams and functions simultaneously. You prioritize tasks and you clearly communicate expectations and deliveries to optimize the collaboration with your customers and colleagues. You have a good overview of the details - as well as the overall objective - which gives a good basis for driving continuous improvements in your daily work. You will feel at your best in this position if you are self-motivated, solution oriented and interact independently with both internal and external stakeholders in the planning of customer engagements.

What we need from you

• Specialist with knowledge in relation to administrative/ business support activities in the relevant area

• Preferably having experience as Sales and Marketing Assistant and/or functional assistant work

• Excellent communication and presentations skills

• Proficient in both written and spoken English and local language
