hela Sverige As an External Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for various aspects of external communications. This includes conducting research, writing press releases, managing media lists, coordinating with news services, and maintaining news clip files. Your primary focus will be on improving consumer perception and overseeing external communications. You will support the implementation of external communications strategies, identify solutions to enhance communication strategies, and escalate issues to senior team members. Your role will require effective planning and execution of prioritized work to achieve project objectives.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct research, write press releases, and distribute them to appropriate channels.
• Maintain media lists and coordinate with news services.
• Manage news clip files and stay updated with relevant media coverage.
• Support the implementation of external communications strategies to enhance brand perception.
• Identify and recommend creative solutions for defined problems in external communications.
• Address escalated issues and provide triage when necessary.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to share knowledge and contribute to collaborative efforts.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders, media, and influencers.
• Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within the industry.
• Coordinate timelines, goals, and objectives for assigned components of communication programs.
• Measure the effectiveness of communications campaigns and provide feedback for improvement.
• Analyze trends and derive insights to shape communication strategies.
This role is as a consultant via Adecco with planned start 31st of July and will go on until the 14th of June 2024.
Skills/Experience/Education:
• Agility: Ability to develop messaging for various audiences.
• Business acumen: Understanding of crucial business metrics and their impact on stakeholders.
• Crisis communication: Ability to respond quickly and effectively in crisis situations.
• Understanding of the current landscape, including target audiences and competitors.
• Executive management skills: Ability to manage and influence executives.
• External stakeholder management: Building relationships with media, influencers, and editorial stakeholders.
• Knowledge of industry trends and ability to adapt external communications accordingly.
• Information synthesis: Ability to digest information and derive meaningful insights.
• Strategic communications: Ability to communicate concepts and data aligned with long-term strategic goals.
Important for the Role:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and thrive in an ambiguous environment.
• Self-starter with the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Collaborative mindset, working well with teams from various functions.
• Previous experience in a similar role at a communication, marketing agency, or multinational organization.
• Proficiency in public relations and media relations.
• Fluent in English and Swedish.
