Volvo is looking for an exterior designer who will have a visionary approach. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, excellent aesthetic judgment and be highly motivated and passionate about translating a vision into a design strategy. Volvo Design is specifically looking for an individual with the knowledge and skills to ensure that the exterior quality of its future vehicles is ranked amongst the best of the premium brands. The position is based in the Gothenburg studio.
What you'll do
* Propose innovative solutions which can lead to future development for Volvo and Polestar brands
* Leverage design skills to communicate ideas to all stake holders
* Collaborate with other team members to create elegant designs which are most appropriate for our customers
* Evolve Volvo and Polestar brands respectively
* Produce, present and communicate design proposals using multiple medias
* Recommend new methods for digital communication of designs
Do you fit the profile?
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Industrial or Transportation Design from a design university
* Experience in executing pre-production or advanced concepts and production vehicles
* Highly skilled at translating sketch to digital models
* Proven ability to develop high quality designs
* Skilled at Alias/Auto Studio, Maya and Photoshop
* Preferable 5 or more years experience developing automotive design models
