Trade & Financing Solutions team is part of Group Treasury within the Finance department and provides global financial solutions for business units within Volvo Car Group. Currently, the team consists of four people and we are now looking for a 5th person who will be in charge of export credit controlling.
As an Export Credit Controller you will request and maintain the quality of trade finance securities such as Bank Guarantees, Letter of Credit, Credit Insurances and etc. for Volvo Cars' Importers/Dealers worldwide. Also, you will be maintaining the existing securities, proactive secure credit risk while keeping commercial focus and provide the best financial tools to the Sales team of Volvo Cars. This is achieved by working closely with sales, dealers/importers and partner banks on a daily basis.
Main responsibilities
• Design and evaluate trade finance solutions to secure the credit risk for assigned markets (this position doesn't require traveling).
• Establish, develop, and maintain a network among importers/dealers, core banks, credit agencies, etc. to maintain securities, minimize and mitigate credit risks and reduce tied up capital.
• Work closely with sales organization in achieving commercial targets making sure that trade financing is an integral part in the car/parts sales process.
• Monitor and control outgoing/incoming payments and approval of shipment under securities
Required qualifications
• Bachelors or Master's degree within business disciplines
• Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in credit controlling, export financing or trade financing
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required and knowledge in SAP is meritorious
• Previous work experience in Sales is a merit
• Excellent English (both oral and written)
