EXPORT COORDINATOR - AIR FREIGHT

Purpose/Objectives of Job:
To process Air Exports in accordance with departmental Company procedures.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
In depth knowledge/experience in the following:
• Start to finish Export procedures
• Customs entry build up and transmission through the ASM/Chief system as defined by the Airfreight clearance procedure.
• Air Freight market rates and Carriers
• INCO terms
• Customer Service and Account Management.
• Maintaining and updating customer information on internal systems.
• Resolving customer and accounts queries.
• Handling non conformities and irregularities effectively and referring any unresolved matters to the Team Leader or Manager.
• Liaising effectively with other Departments.
• Processing daily quotations and ensuring all enquiries from customers and overseas agents are responded to in an efficient manner.
• To carry out any reasonable duties as deemed the responsibility of the job holder by the Team Leader/Manager.
Person Specification
• 4 years relevant industry working experience in Air Freight, some Ocean Export experience would be beneficial
• Conversant with current industry standard requirements
• Flexible approach working within the two sections of the Export Department (Air and Ocean)
• Ability to demonstrate a flexible, hands on approach
• Effective communicator with colleagues, clients and suppliers
• Computer conversant in basic applications & Customs procedures
• Conscientious & diligent approach to work.
