MAX IV Laboratory has operated successfully for more than 30 years and runs the new MAX IV synchrotron facility in Lund. Fully developed it will receive more than 2 000 scientists annually, from Sweden and the rest of the world. They will do research in areas such as materials science, structural biology, chemistry and nanotechnology. 200 people are currently employed at the MAX IV Laboratory.
MAX IV, inaugurated June 2016, is the largest and most ambitious Swedish investment in national research infrastructure and the brightest source of X-rays worldwide. MAX IV Laboratory is hosted by Lund University.



Task
We are looking for a specialist in storage ring non-linear dynamics to enhance our capabilities in data analysis/modeling and push forward various future ideas for brightness improvements to the 3 GeV ring.

The successful candidate will perform analysis and optimization of candidate lattices for future brightness improvements of the MAX IV 3 GeV ring.

Qualifications

Senior Accelerator Physicist/Non/linear beam synamics expert.
PhD in Accelerator Physics, demonstrated extensive experience in design and optimization of magnet lattices for storage-ring based synchrotron light sources. Demonstrated extensive experience in the development of computer codes for simulation and optimization of non-linear beam dynamics in circular accelerators. Comprehensive knowledge of beam dynamics in circulat accelerators.
