Would you like to grab a challenging and exciting opportunity to shape the future of Nordea's technology and infrastructure as a part of the Technology & Security Architecture team in Group Architecture? We are now looking for an Expert IT Architect to join us.
About this opportunity
We are looking for an experienced candidate to join the Technology & Security Architecture team who has great technical breadth and depth to help the organisation realise its digital transformation. Working knowledge of the bank's four main business domains (Retail Banking, Capital Markets, Commercial Banking and Asset & Wealth Management) is required.
What you'll be doing:
* Develop and maintain architecture visions, architecture strategies along with adoption roadmaps for the following technical domains: Public Cloud, Cyber Security, IAM On-prem and Cloud integrations, Networking and Virtualization
* Provide technical design and architectural leadership
* Facilitate change by defining strategies for the bank with respect to technology standards, industry models and design goals
* Craft technical blueprints to support the realisation of technology initiatives in the bank. It includes documenting and diagramming conceptual, logical and physical architectures across the technical domains listed, and for environments located on-premises and in the Cloud. The candidate must also be able to articulate benefits and drawbacks of various design options, and recommend solutions that deliver the most business value while limiting technical debt
* Advise project teams on technology and technical matters for the technical domains defined in the first paragraph. It encompasses the creation of architecture and technical documentation such as High-Level Design (HLD), and Low-Level / Technical Design (SDD and LLD) artefacts
* Educate and assist delivery teams with Group Architecture's governance framework and associated processes
* Define technology principles, patterns, best practices and technical standards for the whole organization and across the entire enterprise technology stack. Promote them to standardise & align the architectures and designs of technology projects in the bank
* Align technology with the business strategy of each of the bank's business domain to help them achieve their respective objectives, improve operational efficiency or marketplace competitiveness
The role is based in one of the following countries: Helsinki; Copenhagen; Gdask; Gdynia; Oslo; Stockholm.
Who you are
To succeed in this role, we believe that you:
* Have the ability to work with engineers, developers, project managers, as well as C-level executives to demonstrate Group Architecture's value proposition across the bank's 4 main business lines (Personal Banking, Business Banking, Large Corporates & Institutions and Asset & Wealth Management)
* Communicate and influence at all levels of the organisation, and communicate complex concepts in clear and understandable ways to build understanding
* Build effective relationships with other architects and stakeholders across the organization to facilitate the improvement of the architecture across multiple areas
* Document and present technical & technology recommendations to a wide variety of stakeholders
* Guide and advice stakeholders to resolve architectural issues to support the implementation of the target picture
* Bridge differences between teams or technologies that support business products or services
* Drive strategic discussions for evolving the architecture to deliver reduced complexity, cost efficiencies, improved agility, reduced risk, or improved business capabilities
* Adapt and respond to change
* Be creative and have a strong desire for innovation
* Keep focus on own continuous development and learning, as well as mentor others to build knowledge and improve overall effectiveness
Your experience and background:
* Demonstrated ability to architect technology solutions across Cloud domains with infrastructure integration to data center networking and infrastructure
* Re-architect native apps and services to Cloud-native solutions
* Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure is required
* Experience in modernizing integration landscape using cloud-native integration services
* Experience with software engineering, the SAFe methodology and DevSecOps
* Experience with transformation projects, including the development of project plans and budgets
* Background in network architecture and network security is very desirable for this role
* Proficient with UML and/or ArchiMate notations is a plus
* Prior management experience is a plus
