Kemira Product Safety is part of our global R&D and Technology function. Kemira Product Safety is responsible for high-quality and consistent execution of product safety and product regulatory compliance related activities globally. We are now looking for a Product Safety Expert to our Global Product Safety team.
You will have a global responsibility for selected Product Lines, particularly coagulants, for Product Safety reviews and documentation. You will be responsible for regulatory compliance reviews for the products and their raw materials. Your main responsibility will be to set up and maintain product safety information for products in SAP-EHS including creation of Safety Data Sheets (SDSs), extended SDSs and other product safety documents. You will manage product safety customer questionnaires and participate in compiling regulatory dossiers. You will closely co-operate with the product managers as well as with production, sourcing and supply chain. The position also involves follow-up of the developments in the regulatory arena, both legislative as well as customer requirements.
You have an academic degree in chemistry, environmental sciences, toxicology or similar discipline. You have experience in product safety in chemical industry and you understand the principles of classification and labeling of chemicals. Experience from SAP-EHS is considered as an asset as well as knowledge of CLP/GHS and REACh regulation. Also knowledge in inorganic chemistry is beneficial. You need to have excellent skills in international networking and communication. Fluency in English, both written and spoken is required. You are a quick learner and capable to work under time pressure and in complex situations.
