At Global Finance Operations you will be a key contributor to the creation of the next generation Finance community - One Finance. You and your team will develop and implement smart and nimble finance processes and tools to support the business in the best way. This will be done in close cooperation with Business Control in the functions as well as the Group Finance functions. Through networking and benchmarking you will be part of taking the Finance organization into a modern organization, ready to meet the challenges ahead of us.
The different teams in the Global Finance Operations are responsible for reporting and analyzing the actuals as well as reporting, consolidating and analyzing forecasts and Business Plans for all financial information including profit, cash flow, balance sheet, investments and cost control. The processes for this will be developed in close cooperation with the Business controllers in the functions as well as with the Group Finance function.
The NSC Accounting Team is responsible for complex financial accounting/closing/reporting activities for multiple National Sales in Northern Europe. We are now looking for an Expert Financial Accountant to join our team and together with us handle financial accounting/closing/reporting activities for the National Sales Company in Sweden (Volvo Car Sverige).
The NSC Accounting team is a part of the Northern European Cluster and in this role you will be reporting to the Senior Manager of the NSC Accounting team.
What you'll do
You will be responsible for advanced accounting, accounting advices, and closing activities within complex areas (accounting/reporting). You will actively lead and participate in ad hoc projects and drive process development while delivering high quality service and advices within the area of responsibility. Secure high quality in existing processes and continuously work on improvements and act independently and be proactive in your approach. You must be supportive in issuing global instructions and guidelines and make sure that those are effectively implemented. Ensure compliance with current global principles, standards and frameworks while keeping track of legislation, trends, latest news and external benchmark to ensure that the processes are "best in class." You will also measure and follow up on the quality and efficiency of global processes, KPI's and conduct advanced analysis and reporting.

Having a holistic mindset and good analytical skills are also key factors in this role. Further, you are motivated by working independently as well as in teams, have the ability to plan and prioritize with a flexible and positive mindset and being able to contribute on our exciting journey ahead.
We appreciate if you have the following personal qualities:
* University degree in Finance or equivalent with at least 8 years relevant experience from finance or related business
* Good knowledge of Finance processes and policies and full ability of applying these in daily operations
* Ability to work and be comfortable in a dynamic environment under continuous development
* Proactive approach with ability to prioritize to deliver on commitments with tight deadlines
* High integrity and professionalism
* Experience in executing global processes locally and working effectively in a global team
* Wide and deep professional experience in the subject area
* Business acumen
* Good communication skills
* Knowledge of Local GAAP and IFRS
* Fluent in English, verbally and written
* Knowledge in SAP and Hyperion is preferable
