Experis Finance is looking for a Business Analyst for our client located in Malmö. This is a consultant assignment with start date ASAP and the assignment will last for 6 month with the possibility to be extended.
Key Objectives of Job
Contributes to the execution of sales -, expense - and profitability targets established by the SMU within the allocated region or sub-region by conducting financial studies targeted at improvement of operational and financial effectiveness of the allocated business operations.
The role is everything in between "junior controller" to "experienced Business analyst", but for now the emphasis is on securing and understanding the numbers and developing our tools and processes.
The tasks of the business analyst also will include accounting elements (e.g. accruals, corrections and reconciliations), so the range of qualifications goes from accounting to reporting (HFM) and analysis.
Responsibilites
* Extracts financial data from various ERP systems (including accounting - and information systems) and performs financial analyses of business figures.
* Interprets financial data to determine past performance and/or to project the financial probability.
* Develops financial reports for forecasting, trending and results analysis.
* Interprets financial transactions / events for the ones who must make economic or business decisions.
* Collects and compiles budget / latest view data, completes budget / latest view status reports and analyzes budget patterns as well as projects expenditures.
* Identifies budget issues, provides alternative solutions and helps in the resolution of problems.
* Supports business improvement projects (e.g. OWC) and/or possible post-evaluations reviews.
Qualifications
* University degree within relevant field
* 10 years of experience in accounting and control.
The person needs to be system/IT oriented/driven and preferably be an advanced user in SAP (since the role includes "digging in the transaction data") and Excel + have experience of BI and QlikView. This role will also be involved in the upcoming budget process so the candidate needs to be capable to handle "large data" and also have a structural way of working and interacting with the business.
