www.esab.comAs a main group in Global R&D Filler Metals, Research Center has a key role in achieving successful product development. It is done through research, method and tool development, advanced analysis work, welding, pilot production as well as customer support. The Research Center organization is designed to provide both short term solutions and long term know-how within welding metallurgy and welding applications/processes.
The Process Center is a subdivision to our Research Center.
As a devoted team member ESAB can offer you a job in an expanding organization with the possibility to grow and to impact the development of our Process Center.
As Process Center Workshop Manager your responsibilities will be to:
• Have quality in focus
• Manage and coach the Process Center team (a team of 13, including welders and workshop technicians)
• Develop the competence of the team members
• Support ESAB's strategic plan
• Identify and implement efficient work methods to reduce lead times
• Survey the overall order planning and reporting
• Have budget responsibility and yearly review the investment plan to meet new requirements
• Encourage the use of new tools and methods being innovative
• Keep up to date with EHS requirements and have the overall responsibility of workshop installations
Who are you?
We believe that you have 10 years of practical workshop or industrial experience, preferably from subcontract production. Earlier experience of management is a requirement and you have references of being a strong and successful leader. Knowledge in welding is a merit. As a leader you are a good listener and have the ability to delegate. As a person you are self-driven, well structured, proactive and open minded with a strong driving force to process and resolve issues in a timely manner. You successfully interact, build and retain good relations with our internal and external customers. You are comfortable in using IT tools and are proficient in both written and verbal communications in Swedish and English.
The position is placed in Gothenburg, Sweden. Occasional traveling is required.
