As a Traffic Safety Researcher, you will be collecting and analyzing accident data from internal accident investigations as well as take on large amounts of internal vehicle data to find patterns and relations to classify different types of events and accidents. What type of accidents occurs on our roads? Which events lead to accidents and why? What make these events differ from those not ending up in a collision and how can we find these close calls?
You'll collaborate closely with teams across Volvo Group Trucks Technology, leveraging your network to contribute to innovative safety solutions. Additionally, you'll conduct on-site accident investigations, gathering vital crash data at workshops and accident locations.

You will join a global group of experienced safety professionals, the Product Safety group, that handle several aspects of safety for Volvo Group Trucks Technology and the complete life cycle of our global range of products. In our group we are safety ambassadors, we enjoy working together and we strive for an open and helpful culture, where we have fun together while doing this.
Your main responsibility will be as an integrated member of the Volvo Trucks Accident Research Team. This is truly a team with heritage and purpose! For more than 50 years, this cross-disciplinary team has investigated and analyzed traffic accidents with the constant strive to improve traffic safety by making our Volvo products and roads safer.
Who are you?
We believe that you are a curious person with a strong analytic mind that can push you to deep dive into various sources of data with joy. You are a person with integrity that understands the importance to handle sensitive personal data with utmost care and respect.
For being successful in this role, we believe that you hold a Master of Science or equivalent in a relevant field. We also think you see yourself as a match with the following:
* Experience in data analytics and statistics.
* Experience from the automotive industry and traffic safety.
* Experience from accident databases.
* Experience from Python.
* Experience from SQL access knowledge.
* Experience of PowerBI.
* English and Swedish proficiency
