Would you like to be part of our team, building a world class platform supporting PostNord's business critical production systems? We are looking for an experienced Tech lead who can spearhead the development of our cloud-based container platform, also acting as Platform owner.

The team consists of a Product Owner, Scrum Master, Tech lead (you) and DevOps engineers. This position is to fill the role as Tech lead and you will also be the formal Platform Owner. We use Jira and Confluence for planning and documentation. Bitbucket, Tekton, ArgoCD, Jenkins and SonarQube are other tools in use. The team is distributed across Sweden and India.

We have a hybrid way of working and most of the teamwork is done digitally. You will be part of an open and including team, continually working to improve individually and as a team with the purpose to contribute to making everyday life easier for our customers and our business.

Job duties

In this role you will have the technical responsibility for PostNord's OpenShift platform and the services associated with it, including CI/CD, e.g. ensuring high availability and security. Your overall objective is to improve quality, time to market, reliability, availability, maintainability, security and scalability of the system.

You will work with, among other things:

- the platform architecture and implement changes (in a close collaboration with solution architects and the team).
- evaluate new technology and introduce whenever feasible.
- manage the technical debt of the system and plan for small and large changes to address the technical debt.

We are looking for you who have

- Academic degree in IT or equivalent knowledge and skills acquired through work experience and continuing professional education.
- Deep understanding of Docker concepts and technology.
- Knowledge of OpenShift 4.x (Operators, networking, CI/CD on OpenShift), different kinds of setup (IPI and UPI), rough knowledge about licensing.
- Understanding of principles of cloud agnostic platforms.
- Good understanding of Linux.
- Fluency in at least one scripting/code language such as Ruby, Shell, Python, or Groovy.
- Experience with code repositories (Git), continuous integration tools (e.g. Jenkins or Tekton).
- Good understanding of infrastructure as code, e.g. using Terraform/Helm charts etc.
- Experience with OpenShift architecture on infrastructure and platform level. CI/CD principles, architecture, and operations. OpenShift administration, managing and orchestrating Pods.
- Experience in taking system architectural and software design decisions, modelling and implementing these.
- Good knowledge in developing IT products with focus on security, scalability, reliability, and availability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

The following competences and experience are meritorious

- Experience working in distributed development teams, preferably offshore or nearshore
- Message queues and streaming, AMQ/Fuse (or equivalent) and Kafka
- Understanding of API gateways
- Cloud based infrastructure and development Azure, or AWS
- Used to work in a DevOps model. Agile methodologies like SAFe or Scrum
