The Diagnostic Communication & Product Configuration Group is responsible for delivering components for diagnostic communication, tools for parameter setting and product structure for diagnosis-related information.
Our customers are located throughout Scania, in production, at workshops and at hauliers. Understanding diagnostic communication and product information, and then allowing for future needs for these through intelligent system design, is a central aspect of the group's work. The group adopts a flexible approach, with 'lean thinking' at its heart.
We are currently looking for an experienced Java developer who wants to see the larger contexts and wishes to work on system design while retaining an element of programming.
Your duties
You will take an active role in discussions on architecture for data-driven flow for Scania's fault code information, diagnostic services, parameter setting and diagnostic communication. You will be a member of the team responsible for a product information database, written in Java, which handles the structure of diagnosis-related information. You will have active dialogue with our internal customers and partners.
The team is currently involved in several projects and a road map has been produced that relates to many systems in the area of product information and diagnosis that the team will be involved in implementing.
As an experienced developer, you will deal with strategic issues and work to change the approach of our customers, but will also have time to develop the actual product.
Requirement profile
We are looking for a graduate engineer or someone with equivalent expertise in the field with at least 5 years' experience of development, preferably from a number of different environments.
System development, strategic ideas and the ability to network cross-functionally will be among your strengths, and you will be interested in improving our processes and other people's. You will be easy-going, be genuinely interested in technology and have a passion to further develop both yourself and our products. Proficiency in spoken and written English and Swedish is a requirement.
Experience in development of embedded systems, PDM systems, structured software development and agile methods would be an advantage.
