Job description
As a System Engineer, you will have an important role in the development of the next-generation radio access network and your contributions will have a clear impact on the end result.
We are searching for qualified candidates for the following design functions: Architecture & Performance, Radio Interface & Mobility, and Radio Resource Management.
• At Architecture & Performance, your focus will be to define the RAN and radio base station (RBS) architecture while working with IP transport, radio performance, radio and network characteristics and dimensioning models.
• At Radio Interface & Mobility, you will work with mobility functions, system interfaces, RAN 3GPP standardization.
• At Radio Resource Management, your responsibilities will include working with capacity management, quality of service, and scheduling algorithms and link simulations.
These positions are based in Stockholm (Kista), Sweden.
Qualifications and required competence
• A Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Data Communication or equivalent academic degree is required.
• At least five years' experience working with one or more of the following: GSM, WCDMA, HSPA, WiMAX, embedded systems, dimensioning models, standardization, hardware and software design.
• Experience programming in C++, Java and Matlab is required.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.
In this role, you will need to be a self-starter who can take the initiative and work independently while at the same time being an effective team player. You will need to work to deadlines and be focused on results. Most importantly, we want someone who is open to learning and will share their findings with others.
