With the vision of 50 billion connections by 2020 Ericsson is paving the way for mobile broadband by developing a new generation of multi standard Radio Base Stations.
Radio Base Stations (RBS), a product development unit, is now entering a challenging phase developing the next generation RBS software supporting all main radio access technologies; GSM, CDMA, WCDMA and LTE.
Our unit, RBS Integration and verification (RBS I&V), has the responsibility to secure premium quality RBS products.
To achieve these goals we must strengthen our organization with experienced SW development engineers.
As a SW development engineer your main activity will be to - independently or in a team - perform integration, trouble shooting and functional verification.
You will also analyze system requirements, design test cases and validate verification results.
In addition, you will actively contribute to our development of test environment and automated test development.
RBS I&V are using modern and constantly improved test methodologies in our fully automated test labs where we simulate customer usage and traffic models.

Qualifications
You have a minimum of 5 - 7 years experience of telecom and data communication
You have a minimum of 5 years in programming using object oriented languages
You have a minimum of 3 years of working with verification
You have advanced Unix and JAVA skills, as well as LINUX skills
You have experienced in working with Agile/Lean methods, preferably you also have experience in changing from traditional waterfall development methods to Agile/Lean
Education
You have a Masters degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering

You are good in contributing with your experiences in a constructive way
You are persistent, flexible and result oriented
You have strong analytical skills and you are a fast learner
You are willing to continuously improve the way we work and "think outside the box"
You are willing to try out new methods for SW development
You are willing to travel a few times/year
