To our R&D laboratories, we are now looking for an experienced R&D Engineer Civil Works.
Main tasks as R&D Engineer Civil Works
To plan, to outline, to coordinate and to execute Civil Works R&D within fields relevant for Vattenfall, in particular nuclear waste management, nuclear production, hydro and wind.
To identify, to develop and to implement new business opportunities in the field of utility structures.
To develop concrete structures and maintenance plans for our assets.
To identify and to integrate relevant and best available resources for assignments.
To ensure a leading-edge knowledge level as well as to ensure internal skills transfer.
Qualifications
You have a preferably doctoral degree in Civil Engineering . You have several years of useful work experience, preferably in building materials and of concrete structures . You are used to lead complex projects including laboratory and experimental tasks . You have a good command of written and spoken English and preferably Swedish. You are an innovative and (internationally) well-respected specialist within the development, maintenance and management of concrete structures.

You have the ability to combine creativity with a well-structured way of handling known as well as unforeseen challenges. You work with endurance and a great willingness to complete your tasks. You enjoy networking also on an international level and you truly believe that knowledge-sharing and cooperation leads to better results.

Our organization
Within Staff Function Business Strategy, Research & Development is responsible for conducting business driven technical development that creates value for the company, and that helps us realising our strategy. The unit is also responsible for providing Technical Specialist Services within important areas like hydro and nuclear power. The unit employs approximately 150 people located in Sweden and Denmark.
