About the job
In this role, you lead knowledge and product development projects, from design to delivery of fully developed products ready for customer use. This includes securing resources, budgets, risks, and changes while ensuring that everything is achieved on time.
Included in your responsibility is to:
Ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all project personnel.
Build strong teams, create project plans with a detailed work breakdown structure based on project scope, schedule, and budget, to secure that you and the team deliver on promises.
Ensure project delivery on scope, schedule, and budget - monitor and manage the triple constraint's function.
Lead the definition of team goals, ensure that team members are onboard, and delegate, coordinate, and motivate the project team to achieve results.
Conduct project performance measurement, project progress reporting, project budgeting and project cost follow-up & forecasting.
Maintain a good teamworking environment through all levels of management according to Sandvik's core values.
Identify and propose improvements of existing processes, develop new methods and tools for project management - taking every opportunity to share best practices.
Prepare and present project updates to steering boards, steering groups, management teams, portfolio pulse meetings.
Work closely with all involved functions in the organization to agree on project scope through the project.
You report to the Project Office Manager at Offer Management & R&D. The location for this position is flexible, but preferably in Sandviken or Stockholm. Occasional travel is included in the role.
Your profile
We're looking for you who have a solid background within product development, combined with leadership experience and project management skills. You have several years' experience of leading complex product development projects or similar. You demonstrate the ability to understand and comment on implications for business outcome when making decisions, and you take tough decisions when needed. You're an excellent networker; you establish solid relationships with stakeholders on all levels and you have the skill to communicate and build trust will all different stakeholders from project team members to the president of the company. You're familiar with agile ways of working and enjoy collaborating in cross-functional teams - planning, estimating, staffing, and monitoring complex projects. Knowledge of metal cutting and processing is naturally beneficial in this role, but not a must. You have good skills in both written and verbal English. Skills in Swedish is a plus.
