Experienced Project Lead Engineer- Fuel System

The Fuel section is one of the development departments within Powertrain installation and is responsible for the development of the fuel and EVAP system. Our customers are facing new opportunities to drive their vehicles on new types of fuel. Various forms of bio-diesel, gasoline, alcohols etc. with tax incentives makes our cars expected to withstand more different mixtures of fuels while we must take into account how these fuels are aged by for example, bacteria and heat. We therefore need to strengthen our team with an experienced Project Lead Engineer to secure long term competence and to deliver our future projects.

As an Experienced Project Lead Engineer for the EVAP system and fuel lines you will work with system designers and product managers in the concept phase of platforms and projects and lead the design work in the industrialisation phase of the project. Your team consists of CAD engineers, test engineers, suppliers etc. and you are leading the team towards technical, financial and timing targets.

Main responsibilities
• Lead the team creating technical solutions for fuel lines, carbon canisters, valves, sensors and fasteners
• Documenting the assignment by updating and releasing documentation for systems and components
• To push forward and establish the necessary decisions for the handling of deviations
• Assuring the quality of design solutions by analysing needs and follow-up examinations
• Ordering test objects, soft/hard tools and bought assignments
• Lead and coach the other Lead Engineers in the team

Required qualifications
• B.Sc university degree or equivalent experience
• At least 10 years of work experience within product development
• At least 5 years of experience from project management
• Capable of driving issues, create teams and to prioritise features and data
• Basic knowledge in Swedish and fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Driving license at least B*
• Experience of motors or electrical equipment within Automotive industry
• Knowledge of CATIA V5 and design experience in polymeric or metallic materials

• Straight and clear communication
• Interested in technical areas with high technical skills
• Logical thinking and organisational skills
