Engineering Consultancy Services Europe Nordic Engineering Consultancy Services (ECS) is a global unit within the Industrial Division Sales, offering advanced engineering projects to industrial OEM customers in a global environment. ECS is currently represented in seven regions globally: Europe (4 regions), USA, China and India. ECS Europe Nordic focuses on OEM customers based in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland, but also work in global projects in all represented regions. ECS is committed to bringing high quality engineering services to customers through high-level expertise, meeting demands and needs of our customers.

The opportunity to work as an analytical engineer and specialist to make a difference directly with customers in advanced engineering projects. You will be working with customers and SKF colleagues from different functions in a truly international environment.
Your main focus will be on calculations and simulations based on commercial and SKF in-house developed tools. Examples of industries we work with are wind energy, off highway, marine and oil&gas.
The job includes the following responsibilities:
• Engineering project execution with focus on calculations and simulations
• Identify customer needs and formulate quotations
• Report and present results to stakeholders and customers
• Build and maintain an effective network within ECS and with the sales organisation and other engineering units
• Support business development by identifying new opportunities and building customer relations
• Contribute and participate in global knowledge sharing and competence development around ECS competences and simulation methodologies
Your profile
• Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Min 3 years working experience in relevant area (modelling, simulation, calculations etc)
• Analytical mindset and committed to solving complex problems
• Experience and excellent understanding of FEA, calculations and simulation tools (ANSYS or similar) and willingness to learn new tools in this area
• Experience and understanding of industrial rotating machinery
• Service minded team player with strong focus on personal contribution
• Experience with product development & product development processes in an industrial environment is a plus
• Experience with Design for Six Sigma is a plus
• Good communication and influencing skills since the job implies cross functional networking
• Being fluent in English and preferably a Nordic language
• Willingness to travel

The position will be located in Gothenburg.
