Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Organic Chemist with a passion for research and development. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and synthesis of various complex molecules, including both naturally occurring and novel compounds. You will work closely with a collaborative team to refine methodologies, explore structure-activity relationships, and contribute to ongoing research projects that involve the isolation and application of specialized substances.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct synthesis and characterization of complex organic molecules, exploring both known and novel pathways.
Lead development of new processes for the extraction, isolation, and refinement of specific compounds.
Apply advanced analytical techniques to evaluate and optimize purity, stability, and reactivity of synthesized compounds.
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to support the development of scalable methods for larger production.
Keep up with the latest scientific research to inform and improve experimental design and execution.
Requirements
A degree in Organic Chemistry, Chemistry, or a related field; advanced degrees (MSc or PhD) are preferred.
Hands-on experience with organic synthesis and a strong understanding of reaction mechanisms.
Familiarity with chromatography, spectroscopy, and other analytical techniques used to purify and characterize complex molecules.
Ability to work on long-term projects with a focus on iterative testing and refinement.
Strong problem-solving abilities and creativity in approaching new challenges in the lab.
Independent thinker with excellent documentation skills for research processes.
