This role is a key role within customer delivery projects, responsible for delivering complete End-to-End transformational platforms to customers worldwide. The role requires EXTENSIVE collaboration within the team, with customer teams and with vendors providing the solution components for TV channel ingestion and broadcast, stream encoding, encryption, video-on-demand content ingestion, content encoding, distribution, content delivery and more.
Responsibilities:
• Creation of High Level and Low Level design description documents, deployment and integration plans, methods of procedures, and acceptance test documents
• Installation, configuration and integration of network elements i.e. routers, switches, firewalls
• Installation, and configuration of Linux/Unix based server clusters, kernel configuration, kernel tuning
• Installation, configuration and integration of solution components, i.e. Content Management Systems, Offer Management Systems, Content Encryption Systems, Content Delivery Network components
• Installation, configuration and integration of DBs and SQL servers
• Implementation of high availability, fail-over, geo-redundancy mechanisms
• Conducting integration, End-to-End, acceptance testing
• The role requires extensive traveling to customer sites with short notice and for long periods of time
Required Competence
We are expecting that the candidates fulfil majority of the following core competence requirements
• M.Sc or B.Sc in Computer Science or similar
• Min 5 years of experience as Solution Integration, Tester, Verification Engineer
• Track record of involvement in IPTV/OTT solution deployments and integration
• Deep knowledge in Linux/Unix server clusters, kernel tuning and server hardening
• IPv4, IPv6, IP Networks, routing protocols, load balancing, storage partitioning, and provisioning
• RTSP, MPEG, HLS, DASH, MSS
• Troubleshooting, defect hunting and defect identification
• Disaster recovery
• Correction package deployments
• EPG EPG ingestion, enrichment, and EPG adaptation
• Metadata ingestion, normalization, adaptation, and distribution.
• Understanding the CableLabs Specs
• DRM technologies, WideVine, FairPlay and PlayReady
• STB Firemware, STB Architecture, specially RDK
• TR-069
