Scania's IT department assists the Scania Group with system development, IT operations and infrastructure. Our mission is to provide the global Scania business with innovative and robust IT solutions.

Scania is currently undergoing an exciting transformation from being a traditional truck manufacturer to become a leader of sustainable transport solutions. The digitalization evolution is a key component in this transformation As a result, Scania IT will be an important player in this change process.

As part of this transformation, we adapt our Infrastructure Services to be able to support and deliver infrastructure to different development team. We are now looking for an experienced Linux technician with significant interest in smart infrastructure solutions. In addition to deep knowledge in Linux, it is also a requirement that you have a basic knowledge of networking and storage solutions.
We work according to "agile" principles and are therefore looking for someone who is outgoing and tempted to be involved in influencing the development of a fast growing company.
You will be part of a team that takes overall responsibility for infrastructure deliveries in an hybrid environment.

You will work with

Design installations and configurations of new server environment for booth on-prem and cloud (AWS)
Future architecture set up for our Infra deliveries
Technical consultation in projects, DevOps or to development team that need support
Knowledge sharing and best practices to your team colleagues
Automation of operational tasks


Your profile


Experience in Linux preferably Red Hat distributions
Experience in scripting language
Eager to be part of Scania cloud transformation
You have a passion for IT Infrastructure
You are knowledge hungry, eager to learn and passionate about sharing knowledge
You are social, curious, flexible and open to take in new technique


We expect applicants to have a relevant university academic degree, excellent problem solving skills and a genuine interest in developing in the role as Experienced Linux technician. To be successful in this role you will also need to have good communication skills and feel comfortable working closely with our development community. You are a team player, but are also capable of working independently. As the corporate language is English, you need to be proficient in written and spoken English.
