What will you do?
You will be part of PTS, a team in the Research & Development department responsible for the software in our production systems. We develop and maintain software that allows Axis to control the production flow and ensures that we consistently and efficiently produce products with excellent quality. This includes software for production systems and production test systems, and tools for production follow-up. The team works closely with Operations, the part of the organisation responsible for producing all Axis products.
As an imaging engineer at PTS, you are a software developer with a special focus on image quality such as image processing, algorithms, and optics. In this role you are one of the most important employees ensuring that we consistently produce cameras with the excellent image quality that our customers have learned to expect from Axis. This means resolving production discrepancies related to image quality both in our products and production equipment, and continuously improve the way we manufacture our cameras.
You will have great use of your detective skills as your colleagues and our partners will rely on you to understand, break down, and solve the issues. By continuously improving the way we manufacture our products you will have a large influence on the Axis' product quality and future profitability. The position involves a great deal of variation and interaction with many different parts of Axis.
Who are we looking for?
We believe the right candidate has a master's degree in engineering physics, electronics, computer science, or equivalent. You have at least a few years of experience working with image processing and/or optics related topics in the industry or academia. You are fluent in both English and Swedish and have experience with programming. It is of merit if you also have experiences in areas like manufacturing, production systems, and mechatronics.

For this role, we are looking for someone who is a technically minded and curious problem solver with an ability to handle several topics at the same time. You will be driving your own tasks within Axis and we therefore expect you to take initiatives and think proactively.
