For the Modeling and Simulations department within Sandvik Coromant's R&D and Product Management, we now have an opportunity for an experienced engineer to join us in developing knowledge in these areas of the cutting process and in building machining dynamic knowledge for the future. This is a great chance to work with highly skilled colleagues in an innovative culture.Your mission - bringing your expertise in modeling to improve methods, tools and processes In this position, you develop knowledge and improve modeling methods in the areas of metal cutting processes and experimental dynamics. With your fresh ideas, you actively contribute in development projects and you share your skills and best practices with the organization. You support colleagues to grow their capabilities, and you collaborate with your own functions and internal networks to find successful solutions. You also work with external competence centers to find and build new knowledge and, also to develop your own knowledge within modeling and simulation of metal cutting and dynamics.The location for this position is Sandviken and some travel occurs. Your profile - trusted engineer and inspiring mentor We're looking for someone with a MSc in Physics or Mechanical Engineering with at least five years of experience within the field. A PhD is an advantage. You have comprehensive knowledge and experience of experimental dynamics and solid mechanics, and good knowledge in IT-systems and mathematics is preferable.
