Fingerprint Cards (FPC) is a leader in the development of capacitive fingerprint sensors and designs the whole system, from advanced custom silicon devices and microelectronic packages, to algorithms and software for fingerprint recognition and applications on the target devices. The company is growing in order to meet the demands from our customers and to expand the usage of our sensor products.

 Our Hardware Reference Design & Integration team is looking for an Experienced HW Design Engineer who has worked with electronics design but has more interest in system level understanding, specifications and to work with customer and development/production partners.

You will be working in a team responsible for developing reference designs, the HW system integration of FPC modules, design support to external partners developing custom modules and expert design integration support to Field Application Engineers. We are also responsible for the module production tests specifications and the HW tools supporting ASIC-, HW-, SW-design.

 The role

You will be responsible for

• Second line technical customer and partner support including reviews of customer designs
• Coordination of support cases escalated to third line expert support within the team
• Gather customer feedback and propose updates to customer facing documents i.e. design guidelines and reference documents used for supporting partners design work and customers design integration work.

 In addition, you will be working together with a senior engineer to

• Develop and maintain module production test specifications for production partners
• Develop module production tests
• Keep DFM/DFT requirements and guidelines up-to-date
• Align activities with the production test strategy

 You will be working in a dynamic environment and the responsibilities expect to change over time. The work location will be Malmö. It is expected that you are able to travel with short notice but not frequently.

Your background

You hold a Master degree within Electrical Engineering and have 3+ years working experience with electrical design. We appreciate if you have theoretical and practical experience of EMC/ESD design and test.

We expect you to be able to handle many ongoing tasks at the same time, be structured and thorough, be able to drive assignments independently and to self-manage priorities, have good communication skills, be analytically strong, have good holistic understanding of hardware systems and debugging HW issues. You should enjoy working cooperatively in a multi-site team environment, have the ability to quickly adapt to new assignments, be customer focused and have a positive problem-solving attitude.
