hela Sverige Looking for new challenges - Join us in the AXIS OS Tools team as we take on the challenge of improving how we automate everything that goes into releasing AXIS OS. The position is in Lund at our new HQ.
Who is your future team?
We are 26 developers that are passionate about improving the tools and services that are used to develop AXIS OS. Providing a build, integration, and release pipeline to all AXIS OS developers at Axis is our main responsibility and we're organized in small autonomous teams, each responsible for their part in the pipeline. The tool chain at Axis is well established and handles daily releases of over 100 different products. Python, Go and TypeScript are the main programming languages we use, but it is more about using what's best for the task. We believe in automating repetitive tasks and love to take full responsibility for everything we do. It is our job to make sure that Axis continuously can add value and new features to the cyber secure AXIS OS we deliver to our customers. We are great at what we do, but at the same time know that we can always improve and learn more. What really stands out for the team is our eagerness to help and support each other and our fellow Axis co-workers.
What you'll do here as tools developer?
You will, together with a few other experienced tools developers, join a newly formed release tools team. This part of the AXIS OS pipeline is becoming increasingly important and the complexity continues to grow as Axis releases more and more products. We are now looking to build a coherent and efficient release pipeline, from the loosely coupled pipeline we have today.
As a member of the team, it is very much up to who you are and how you complement the team, but to name a few things you can expect to:
* Take full DevOps responsibility of the tools and services of the release pipeline
* Evolve our pipeline through use of new technologies to meet new requirements
* Improve cyber and supply chain security
* Work in close cooperation with AXIS OS developers to understand their needs and how we can help them by improving our tools and services
* Work in close cooperation with IT infrastructure and operations to get the most out of our system
* Improve our metrics and logging frameworks
* Contribute to open-source projects
Who are we looking for/Who are you?
We are looking for an open, creative, and pragmatic problem solver that likes to combine long-term thinking and structure with the here and now that naturally follows from working closely with the users of our tools and systems. You are motivated by new challenges and are eager to learn, but you also get energy from helping others grow by sharing your knowledge. Like us, you value teamwork and want to contribute to our great team spirit.
Finally, you most definitely prefer Linux over Windows.
We would love to hear that you have:
* More than 5 years' experience from working as a full stack developer, with a preference for frontend
* Familiarity with languages such as TypeScript, Python, Java or Go
* Working knowledge of using Docker
* Experience from deploying and hosting services in a Kubernetes environment
* Experience with environment-as-code frameworks such as Ansible
The following qualifications are a plus:
* Have used metrics to monitor and improve the performance of your systems using tools such as Elastic/Logstash/Kibana, Grafana, Graphite and Icinga or similar
* Have experience from working with continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines
