The Fuel and SCR-system installation group at Scania are handling the development and maintenance of layouts, components and the structure of the existing and coming Truck chassis at Scania. We are looking for an experienced Designer for our Component group to develop the best Truck in the world.
Your duties
Responsibility for design within our Fuel and SCR Component team, mainly in plastic and/or metal for installation of fuel/SCR and media placement on truck chassis.
• Part responsible for Fuel and SCR-components.
• Responsibility for ensuring that the right shape and function ability are produced at the right time.
• Problem solving/idea generation.*Process development.
Your profile
You will have a BSc or MSc in Engineering (mechanical or similar) and be interested in technology and product development or have equivalent professional experience.
You will have the ability to work both independently and in a team. You will have good communication skills that enable you to work cross-functionally and develop a large number of contacts throughout the company.
Experience of working in a CAD environment is a requirement, while experience of working with Catia V5 is an advantage.
Experience from Scania and vehicle product knowledge are desirable, but it is more important that you are results-oriented, organized and motivated.
You will also:
• have experience as a Mechanical designer in metal, plastic and tube routing.
• be committed, creative and able to motivate others with an open, flexible approach
• be interested in system and operational issues for truck and vehicle development.
• be proficient in written and spoken Swedish and English
• Experience from alternative fuels and Truck driver license are considered as additional qualifications.
We work very closely together within the section, often under time pressure and with high performance requirements. This places high demands on your ability to focus on the right things while remaining sensitive to the requirements of the surroundings. The post involves frequent cooperation with other development departments as well as suppliers and customers both in or out side of the Scania organization.
