Experienced Analysis Engineer - Polymer Materials

The Chemistry and Fuel System group is responsible for chemical analysis and testing of polymer materials in the engine area. We carry out tests for mainly new vehicle but we also support our quality department with analysis of used products.

As our new Analysis Engineer you will work with testing of polymer materials used in the engine bay. The tests are carried to evaluate that the material can cope with surrounding environment during the lifetime of the vehicle. Environment factors that have impact on the polymers are for example temperature and humidity.We are looking for someone with good theoretical understanding of polymer materials and with interest to combine it with practical testing in chambers and rigs. The role includes developing of physical and in the future, virtual test methods, since our aim is to use more virtual methods. We have access to a well-equipped laboratory with several instruments for polymer testing. Our team has well build up knowledge and you will also work towards many other interfaces of internal customers in our company.

Main responsibilities

• Testing of polymer components in the engine bay
• Plan the testing together with internal customers
• Perform testing with our different instruments
• Development of new test methods
• Present results from the testing orally and in written
• Responsible for the testing equipments within your area

Required qualifications

• M.Sc. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with Material or equivalent education
• Experience from laboratory testing is meritorious
• Experience in production of polymer materials is meritorious
• Experience in material simulation is meritorious
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
