Your role
Saab, AB is searching for an internal Saab employee/Expat to join the Training & Simulation Team in Huskvarna, Sweden. The vision for this role is to support both the Program Management and Marketing & Sales teams of the Training & Simulation Business Unit as part of a rotational assignment for a period of 12 months up to 24 months.
The right individual will apply demonstrated knowledge of program/project management principles and concepts to resolve a variety of issues. The ideal candidate has significant organizational leadership experience and strong communication skills. To be successful in this role a candidate must demonstrate expertise across program management, process improvement, new business capture and organization development. This role reports to the Head of Programs, Training & Simulations.
Responsibilities Include:
Project management by coordinating with programs and customer service, both internal and external.
Set clear expectations and establish performance targets for the team and deliver on those objectives.
Develop training market growth plans with Marketing & Sales team.
Effectively manage the financial performance of the assigned projects.
Effectively develop and manage relationships and cooperation with industry partners and customers.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Interface with Contracts, Finance, CM, QA, RMS, and purchasing organizations within BU Training & Simulation.
Your profile
We are looking for someone who enjoys a leadership role and many points of contact within the organization. You are a good communicator with positive energy, who takes your own initiative but also appreciates the strength of a collaborative team where you lift each other up. You have an interest in leading people and an ability to create a team where teamwork, group dynamics and well-being are in focus. You work with precision, have a strategic mindset and think proactively to get an overall overview of the situation. You lead the work with good order and you also have a strong business interest. Our customers often have formal requirements with regard to documentation and you therefore have such experience.
Required experience and skills:
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering, Business or related discipline is required. Master's degree/MBA is preferred.
15+ years of progressive leadership experience, preferably in program/project management.
Experience with training system and services programs is required, experience with Foreign Military Sales is a plus.
Experience with various federal contracting processes to include FAR, OTAs, and Middle Tier Acquisition.
Excellent organization and time management skills, attention to detail while tracking multiple interdependent functions, and ability to follow-up action items and requests.
Must be self-motivated, enthusiastic, possess a strong work ethic and constant desire to learn.
Ability to effectively multi-task and work well in a fast-paced environment.
Strong business acumen and ability to work well with various levels of people in the organization.
Travel is expected in this role. The length and frequency of travel depend on the contract and customer.

You will be part of the Programs department at our headquarters in Huskvarna, Sweden. Programs consist of approximately 25 employees and has overall responsibility for T&S's global project portfolio to the market.
