Vacancies have arisen for experienced GMP Cell Culture Scientists to work within Production and Process Development
Main duties will include:
• To contribute to the planning of process development, technology transfer and GMP projects by providing estimates for required resources and schedules.
• To execute and complete assigned GMP process development / technology transfer experimental in a timely manner.
• To develop and execute manufacturing specifications and Batch Production Records for GMP production
• To interpret data and communicate results. To make judgments on the impact of the data and relevance to the process development.
• To form part of multidisciplinary teams working taking process from the development stage into GMP
Applicants will have practical experience in GMP mammalian and/or microbial cell culture techniques and cell growth. A sound knowledge of fermentation principles is desirable.
The ideal applicants will possess a degree or PhD in Biochemistry, Biotechnology Engineering or equivalent qualification with previous GMP experience in a relevant technical area in an industrial environment. Applicants should be able to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and strong practical skills within their area of expertise.
The successful candidates must be flexible in their approach to work and willing to work additional hours to accommodate processing. The enthusiasm to learn and the ability to interact and communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels within the organisation are also essential.
This role will be based at Keele, Staffordshire, however, a willingness to travel within the Group will be required.
