The Role
• Apply a sound understanding of disease targets, market needs and regulatory issues.
• Contribute to the leadership team's understanding of the research and development challenges to ensure the right go / no go and prioritisation decisions are made.
• Define the company's R&D strategy and provide expert leadership and direction in its implementation, ensuring the successful progression of the company's product(s) through to registration.
• Support the growing pipeline, both internal and partnered, as it progresses through clinical development towards commercialisation.
• Represent the overall research and development perspective where needed in investor presentations, Board meetings and with business and financial partners and in the company's dealings with regulatory authorities.
• Maintain current awareness of developments and competitor activity in the medical fields relevant to the company.
• As a leader within the company, role model creative problem solving and conviction of ideas, but with genuine collaboration and a positive motivated approach to teamwork.
• Align, structure, motivate and lead the organisation to deliver on the strategic plans
The Person
• 15 or more years of experience in the global Medical Technical Industry
• Evidence of significant scientific capability e.g. Patenrs and key papers published
• Evidence of product approvals achieved with FDA
• Significant people leadership throughout career
• Positions of influence i.e. holding positions on Management committees
• Multilingual capabilities
Består av både traditionellt kontors och laboratoriemiljö. Företaget har ca 60 anställda och arbetet bedrivs i olika grupper som ansvarar för sina respektive områden i utvecklingskedjan.
