Your role
In your role asan Event Specialist you will bejoining Huawei HR -team and will beresponsible for organizing internal and externalworkshops and events of various scales and purposes. As the project manager for each event, you will collaborate withstakeholders, supporting teams, and event suppliers to ensure seamless execution. Additionally, this role involvesassisting lab directors with daily tasks, making it a dynamic and multifaceted opportunity.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Manage each event/workshop as a project, coordinating with stakeholders, supporting teams, and event suppliers.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand event objectives, preferences, and requirements.
Assist in developing event concepts, themes, and designs, while ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
Research and recommend venues, vendors, and suppliers based on client needs and budget constraints.
Coordinate logistical details including venue selection, catering, audiovisual equipment, transportation, and accommodations.
Effectively communicate with stakeholders and suppliers, providing updates, gathering feedback, and addressing concerns.
Oversee on-site event setup, execution, and breakdown to ensure all elements are implemented according to plan.
Conduct post-event evaluations to assess success and identify areas for improvement
Location: Kista, Stockholm, Sweden (Full time onsite)
Employment type:This is a consultant position with an initial 12-month employment contract, with the possibility of extension.
Preferred start date: Before May 15th if possible
Your qualifications
Minimum of 3 years' experience in event/workshop organization in an international environment.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Marketing, or related fields.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills in English and Swedish; proficiency in Chinese is a plus.
Proficiency in graphic/video editing is desirable.
Demonstrated growth mindset with enthusiasm for challenges and a 'can do' attitude.
Objective approach and openness to others' views, while fostering a positive team spirit.
Proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.
Strong social and networking skills to support teamwork in project groups and ability to work independently.
