We are looking for a consultant for a six month assignment, for one of our customers.
The customer is a leading provider of connectivity solutions for data networking, storage and computing equipment manufacturers. The Järfalla facility has individuals on-site including operations and research & development teams. You will be part of the Fiber Optics division which is developing industry-leading products.
The Datacomm business unit is a leading provider of connectivity solutions for data networking, storage and computing equipment manufacturers. The Jarfalla facility has [70] individuals on-site including operations and research & development teams. It is a critical piece of Datacomm's Fiber Optics business strategy and is dramatically increasing its output while developing industry-leading products. The position will be based in Jarfalla, Sweden, which is ~20km from Stockholm.
Evaluation and test development engineer
Tasks
• Modify and improve test programs to automatize measurements as needed
• Modify and improve test boards and fixtures in cooperation with responsible engineer
• Configure test systems and perform measurements independently in HF testing and DC-testing
• Detect and correct potential issues during routine measurements
• Analyze and present results - measurement to specification and parameter correlations
• Communication and feedback to designers and FW developers
• Test documentation
Qualifications
• 2-5 years experience - M.Sc or B.Sc in E.E. or Physics
• Experience in HF testing and understanding of test environment
• Experience in test environment programing, in particular Agilent VEE
• Familiar with general HF and DC test methodology, parameter accuracy, gage R&R
• Experience with fiber-optics measurements and evaluation is an advantage
• Good understanding of electronic circuits - analog and digital
• Experience with hardware design and SMT soldering
• Understanding of standard qualification procedures is an advantage
• Strong computer skills, in particular Excel
• Hands-on approach
• High level of interest and curiosity, motivation and ability to learn quickly
• Flexible, analytical and systematic
• Strong communication skills
• Fluent in English and Swedish
