European Analytical Application Specialist
Biotage is looking to set up an analytical application and demonstration laboratory at our office in Lund. This role will be responsible for the running of this new laboratory and will need to be a self-starter who is happy to work on projects relatively autonomously. The ideal candidate will be outgoing and keen to interact with potential customers when they visit Lund for demonstrations and also at customer locations around Europe as this role will also require a significant level of travel.
This role will report into the European Analytical Market Manager and work closely with that person to set priorities for their time and the application laboratory, as well as keep them informed on market trends and new areas where Biotage could apply their products.
Required qualifications experience and attributes:
PhD or +10 years relevant industrial experience
• 5 years hands-on work in an analytical laboratory (any industry) using LC-MS/MS
Proven sample preparation method development skills
A working knowledge of a number of LC-MS/MS platforms and laboratory automation techniques would also be an advantage
Fluent in both written and spoken English and a further European language would be an advantage
Able to travel freely through Europe, up to 50% of their time
Confident to present to small and large groups, working either alone or in collaboration with other colleagues
Experience working in a commercial environment is not essential, but would be desirable
