The Customer Distribution Center (CDC) in Gävle, Sweden, is a supply unit within Business Unit Networks. Our 850 employees deliver mobile systems infrastructure worldwide. We are responsible for analyzing where changes are needed through the entire 2G and 3G supply chain, initiating corrective action and driving change.
Job description
You will be responsible for driving supply-chain improvements with our suppliers, working proactively with capacity and flexibility, and suggesting and implementing changes to improve the logistics setup.
You will handle negotiations about investment and logistics agreements, concerning flexibility, capacity and cost. You will also be the procurement interface within project, such as in the introduction of new products.
As purchaser, you will analyze the supply chain, based on statistics methods, to prepare for strategic decisions and supply-chain management.
You have good knowledge of building efficient supply chains, where demands on flexibility and cost efficiency are key areas. You also have the ability to work both strategically as well as operatively within the logistics area.
Working in the Purchasing department at the CDC in Gävle, you will have a central role and gain broad experience of Ericsson's business.
Qualifications (formal education needed)
A Bachelor or Master of Science, Business Administration or Statistics and several years of work experience within the relevant areas is required.
Strong communication skills in both English and Swedish are essential
Personal skills
The ability to take initiative and to be a driving force in the department is essential, as are excellent cooperation and communication skills and an ability to build relationships with our suppliers.
