The consultant role at Ramboll
The role of consultant is constantly changing. Our customers are evolving and the entire industry is undergoing digitalization and is in a technically exciting and challenging time. For us, it is not important that you sit on all the answers. However, we value your ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new tasks and drive your work independently forward, of course with the help of our more senior employees.
You will be part of our group of 13 geotechnicians/geoconstructors spread over two locations, Karlstad and Gothenburg. In addition, we work closely with the three other groups within our department; Bergteknik, Broteknik and Hamn. In total, we are about 60 employees. We have joint assignments and networks of designers, project managers, designers and experts. We work in both local and national assignments, ranging from early-stage investigations for housing, schools, detailed plans to partnering assignments together with contractors in production, and also major national projects such as the gothenburg-Borås high-speed railway. We will continue to work partly remotely with the aim of mostly being in the office. However, we know from experience that sometimes we prefer to work at home and then you should feel that it is an opportunity too.
Your main duties:
Calculations and design of geotechnical reinforcement measures and geostructures such as supporting structures etc
Stability calculations for landslides and landslides, settlement calculations and bearing capacity calculations
Work as a Technology Manager/Assignment Leading Geotechnician/Geoconstructor in large and small assignments
Work in groups with other people in many different areas of technology
Work with innovation and development within our organization both nationally and internationally

You have experience in computational work for geostructures

You have good communicative skills in Swedish and English
You have a university or master's degree in Civil Engineering/Civil Engineering with a focus on geotechnical engineering or similar
