The HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) technology has been on the market for the past 50 years and is used to transmit power over long distances with minimal losses, using overhead lines, underground and submarine cable systems.

Tasks
We are looking for a structured problem solver with a strong will to learn about equipment and system studies. As our Equipment Responsible you will develop requirement specifications for main circuit equipment and perform system studies. We are welcoming you to a group of 14 people with different experiences and competences, where you will share your knowledge and take part of ours.
You will mainly be responsible for:
• Developing requirement specifications in the various HVDC projects
• Supporting the sales and purchase departments with technical knowledge
• Participation in commissioning and testing of equipment
Maintaining our standard requirement specifications for main circuit equipment when it comes to quality. This is a varying job where you will be in contact with both customers and suppliers worldwide, be involved in various project groups and be part of the purchase and sales process. You will be provided with the opportunity to develop, both within HVDC and within other segments of ABB.
Requirements
You are a careful and quality conscious person who takes responsibility for your own work tasks and set time frames. It is important that you enjoy working both independently and together with others in order to reach common goals.
You hold a Master or Bachelor of Science in Engineering. Alternatively you have a high school education with several years of work experience and great knowledge within electrical power. Preferably, you have experience of specifications, calculation, design, testing or development of high voltage equipment. If you have in-depth experience of one or several high voltage devices, it is meriting. Since we are working in an international environment we assume you manage English. Knowledge in other languages such as Swedish is positive.
