Your role and responsibilities
Are you ready to take the lead in shaping the future of electrical design? We're looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to drive the local implementation and development of our CAD tool, EPLAN. In this key role, you'll be at the forefront of innovation, working closely with our global support team to integrate and enhance the tool. You'll also play a crucial role in optimizing workflows, refining methodologies, and ensuring continuous improvement to maximize efficiency and performance.
You will be responsible for the implementation and configuration of the CAD tool in collaboration with our global EPLAN team and the local engineering team.
This role involves working closely with the design and project delivery teams.
Initially, your primary focus will be on the implementation phase. Once completed, your responsibilities will shift towards maintenance and development of the CAD tool, including updating and adding new features.
You will also provide local EPLAN support to the engineering team.
Additionally, electrical design within projects and products will be part of your responsibilities, in synergy with the maintenance work.
Lastly, you will embody ABB's core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for your actions while supporting your colleagues and the business.
Qualifications for the role
A relevant education combined with at least 3-5 years of experience in electrical design using EPLAN.
Previous experience as a key user of a CAD tool is an advantage.
Strong expertise in electrical design, particularly with EPLAN.
Experience in plant engineering is a plus.
Proficiency in English is required, while Swedish is preferred but not mandatory.
A self-motivated, curious, and driven team player with strong collaboration skills.
