Tasks and responsibilities:

• Analyzes product and environmental regulatory requirements and laws affecting SKF's product portfolio (articles, mixtures) and keeps up to date with legislative changes.

• Works in collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with various international and state regulations concerning SKF products and product lines.

• Contributes to the determination and communication of compliance to environmental laws of specific product families.

• Drives implementation of processes and tools for SKF Product Development to ensure that new products comply with relevant legislation.

• Collaborates to development of processes and tools for SKF Purchasing team to ensure that all purchased products comply with relevant legislation, and if needed supports implementation of such processes.

• Works with SKF Sales organization team to ensure that evidence of compliance for SKF products is brought efficiently to customers.

• Collaborates proactively with SKF Quality and EHS organization to ensure that all newly developed or modified processes are in accordance with SKF's QMS and ISO standards.

• Belongs to a core team of Product Environmental Compliance experts, and as such coordinates on all of these aspects with activities conducted in other parts of the company by other members of the same team, and proactively contributes to the development of the knowledge and expertise of such group.

• Expert in international regulatory compliance. Examples: REACH, EU RoHS, China RoHS, California Proposition 65, Dodd-Frank Act, Canada Prohibition of Certain Toxic Substances Regulations, U.S. EPA Toxic Substances Controls Act (TSCA), Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants.

• Understanding of the legal requirements, specifically in relation to articles (mechanical and electro-mechanical components/sub-systems/finished products)

• Experience in planning and implementation of projects to allow the achievement and demonstration of compliance in at least some of these areas: Product Development, Supply Chain management, Product Management and Customer relations management.

• Project Management experience is mandatory.

• A college degree in a technical subject or law is required.

Varaktighet, arbetstid
The position holder will report to Product Environmental Compliance and Performance Manager and will be located on one of our major sites, preferably Luton, England or Gothenburg, Sweden.
