The Position
We are now looking for an Environmental Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for product-related sustainability compliance and performance and will play the role in supporting our team in implementing sustainable engineering practices.

You will guarantee the fulfilment of the Environmental Regulations and Sustainable TMHE (Toyota Material Handling Europe) business model across TMHE products. This includes developing and applying strategies, guidelines, and methods that enhance environmental performance, reduce environmental impact, and strengthen the environmental mindset within R&D.
In this role you will report to Bianca Ionesei, Environmental Design Supervisor.
Your Responsibility
Monitor and interpret relevant environmental regulations (e.g., REACH, WFD, ESPR, EUBR, CSRD/ESRS).
Ensure environmental compliance requirements are met within the organization (to above stated).
Support organization with compliance related questions across TMHE entities.
Support R&D in applying product sustainability and ecodesign principles according to established standards and methodologies.
Develop, implement, and maintain procedures and processes to improve environmental product performance.
Perform Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) studies on TMHE products using dedicated software tools and established methodologies (e.g., ISO 14040, ISO 14044, ISO 14067)
Measure, analyse, and report environmental performance based on LCA results and other environmental indicators.

Your Profile
University degree in Environmental Engineering or a related technical field.
Knowledge of relevant environmental laws, directives, and regulatory frameworks.
Experience in environmental data analysis and reporting, including interpretation and communication of results.
Familiar with Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodologies an advantage to know LCA software tools (e.g. LCA for Experts, SimaPro).
Strong ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with various stakeholders.
Practical, hands-on, and solution-oriented approach, combined with high integrity and comfort working with diverse groups of people.
Ability and willingness to work in a multicultural environment.
Availability to travel occasionally within Europe.
