At Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions (SMR) and our Global EHS Data team, we're looking for an Environmental Data and Reporting Specialist to join us in a brand-new role - someone with the right attitude who's passionate about networking and eager to develop and learn with us.
We prioritize Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) in everything we do, and we actively and consciously work to create a culture where these elements come first, regardless of the circumstances. Welcome to our exciting world!
Your mission
In this position, you assist with an accurate and timely capture of environmental data - acting and supporting with agility where needed. As the contact point and support for internal stakeholders, you interact with a wide range of people throughout Sandvik. Your duties vary as we progress through different stages in our journey to meet our commitments and goals. Working in a diverse environment means that you can be deep down into a specific data record one minute, only to sit and discuss long-term strategies and targets in the next minute. By working with stakeholders, you report on reasons for progress or lack of progress, develop plans and actions for both short- and long-term improvements, identify obstacles and investigate solutions. Furthermore, you assist in the development of reporting, analyses, and information presentations.
You develop and implement our processes regarding environmental data - which includes capturing and analysis of:
Quarterly environmental input data, including follow up and correction of data where necessary.
Environmental Improvement Projects (EIP's) and Environmental Contributions
Projected savings versus actual savings.
Environmental Hazard Management process and data.
Environmental Incident Management process and data.

The location for this position is flexible between our Sandvik sites globally. We apply a hybrid work set-up where you can combine office work with work from home or any other location. You collaborate closely with SMR Environmental and Sustainability managers, as well as relevant people and functions on Sandvik Group level. As Sandvik's commitment to the Science Based Targets initiative is connected to your work, you take part in the development of both targets and ways of improving environmental performance.
Your profile
We're looking for someone with a relevant university degree or equivalent knowledge gained from previous work. Good basic knowledge in the environmental area and experience of industry operations are a big plus, but not a must. Since we act on a global scene, you need to have a very good command of English.
Your personality makes a difference and with a great ability to communicate, you enjoy interacting with people in a global setting. You pay attention to details while sharing a strategic approach and work well both individually and in teams. You're truly flexible and resilient, meaning you easily bounce back when facing setbacks and staying focused in challenging times - also approaching challenges with curiosity and excitement.
Our culture
At Sandvik, we're tech driven, innovative and entrepreneurial. We believe that success is a team effort so we value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive culture where people can be themselves and reach their full potential. So, we invest in supporting each other, learning together and celebrating our differences. Visit our stories hub, LinkedIn or Facebook to get to know us further.
Application
Send your application no later than January 8, 2024. Job ID: R0061787.
As we aim for a fair recruitment process, we utilize assessment tools to safeguard objectivity.
