The Digital Buildings Business of Schneider Electric provides Intelligent building management solutions to help customers create a productive and comfortable environment for its occupants, reduce energy consumption and run building operations efficiently. As a critical part of this building ecosystem we also provide solutions for fire detection and monitoring of fire detection systems installations.
Schneider Electric has a challenging opportunity for a passionate individual to assume a cross functional role as Environmental Compliance Engineer for our Hardware Development Team in Lund, Sweden.
You will be involved in efforts to secure compliance with environmental public policy, optimize the utilization of resources and reduce environmental impact for our product offer.
Key responsibilities:
• Lead the internal Green Premium process
• Secure compliance to environmental directives and regulations for our product offer.
• Collecting design data directly from material manufacturers, suppliers, or test labs
• Provide guidance to system and component design that reduce negative impact on environment
• Serve as a technical advisor for our engineering team on environmental policies and standards to ensure regulatory applicability
• Conduct research and technical audits on environmental impact of project, analyze data and perform quality control checks
• Monitor progress and provide recommendations reports
• Document and maintain plans, requirement, protocols, permits and standard operating procedures
Wish list of skills and experience
• Bachelor or higher engineering education
• Experience in regulation and standards
• Strong data management skills
• Ability to work with limited or no supervision
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• MS software such as Word, Excel, Visio, Teams
• Experience in Product Data Management tools
