About the Role
You will take a key role in shaping how a global automotive company works with environment, health, safety, and sustainability compliance across its own operations. This is a broad role where you support both day-to-day EHS work and longer-term improvements in processes, governance, and awareness.
You will act as a subject matter expert for management teams, markets, and workshops, helping the organization stay compliant, reduce risk, and build a proactive work environment culture. You will work across HR and sustainability in a matrix setup, with many internal stakeholders and contact with external authorities. Job DescriptionYou will establish and improve structured EHS management processes across the organization and its own operations.
You will ensure compliance with applicable EHS legislation, including Swedish work environment legislation and the Swedish Environmental Code.
You will support managers in risk assessments, action planning, and follow-up within work environment and EHS topics.
You will drive systematic work environment management, including SAM and OSA, and strengthen ways of working around ergonomics and preventive actions.
You will own the incident and near-miss process, including reporting, investigation, follow-up, and continuous improvement.
You will provide training, guidance, and practical tools that build manager capability in work environment topics.
You will coordinate work environment forums, safety rounds, and reporting on key metrics to increase visibility and improvement.
You will support markets, workshops, and market establishment projects with compliance readiness, risk assessments, and action plans.
You will manage sustainability compliance processes and coordinate the sustainability compliance matrix.
You will handle dialogue and reporting to authorities, manage permits, and coordinate ISO14001-related certification activities together with relevant stakeholders.
You will manage the systems and tools used for EHS and legal compliance.
Requirements3-5 years of experience working with work environment, EHS, compliance, or related areas in a complex organization.
Experience of EHS work at scale in global companies.
Experience with systematic work environment management (SAM) and organizational and social work environment (OSA).
Experience working with incident management, investigations, and follow-up processes.
Good understanding of Swedish work environment and environmental legislation.
Experience working with ISO-based management systems.
Fluent Swedish and English.
You work in a structured, thorough, and methodical way and communicate well across functions and stakeholder groups.
Nice to haveExperience working in or supporting office-based, knowledge-intensive organizations.
Experience in project management.
