As an environment artist at Embark you play a central creative role creating the physical space where the players experience our games. The role of an environment artist is extremely versatile and a wide range of techniques and experiences are required.
Examples of responsibilities
Create worlds, sculpt terrain, build cities and interiors
Placing props and vegetation
Create shaders and mesh scattering content
Cleanup photogrammetry and attend photogrammetry reference trips
Participate in playtests and provide feedback on the game.
To qualify we believe you have
Excellent visual skillset and deep artistic understanding and knowledge
Follow directions and deliver to quality from a visual, game play and technical perspective
Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience within the game industry
A strong passion for art, games and relevant technologies
Solid experience with Maya, Houdini, Photoshop and other relevant softwares used in generation of content
Great understanding and ability to work according Game and Art Direction as well as technical constraints
Great communication and collaboration skills
