Environment and Safety Coordinator - Avis Budget Group - Stockholm
Do you have experience in working as an Environment Coordinator? Are you looking for a new challenge with an international remit? If so then this role could be for you. We are currently recruiting for an Environment and Safety Coordinator to join our team in our HQ in Stockholm.
As an Environment and Safety Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to provide and implement specialist advice and guidance to improve environmental and legal compliance and a safe and healthy working environment and culture for all employees, customers and visitors across our locations in Sweden, Denmark and Norway.
In this role, you will also identify areas of improvement and make recommendations to Head of Safety and Wellbeing, and work with stakeholders to influence any agreed chances to working practices within the organisation
Key responsibilities
* Leading the accreditation to ISO 14001 Environmental management standards
* Implementing appropriate Environmental and Health & Safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current legislation and standards
* Keeping abreast of and maintain relevant professional qualifications to ensure continual and timely business compliance.
* Measuring and monitoring Environmental and Health & Safety performance to maintain and improve working practices
* Promoting efficient management of Environmental protection and Health & Safety within the company, setting a positive example to employees to promote a safe working culture
Skills and experience required
* Working towards, or completed a qualification in Environmental Management or Health & Safety
* Fluent in English, Swedish, Danish and Norwegian language
* Experience of working in a corporate business, implementing environmental or health and safety management systems
* Good knowledge of the requirements of ISO 14001
* Excellent influencing skills, and a strong communicator to a wide range of stakeholders
* Flexible to travel between Sweden, Denmark, Norway and the UK when required
* Full driving licence essential
