What you will be a part of
Group ICT, Saabs global IT organization, provides all of Saab common IT related services, which include technology solutions, applications, development, management, operation and support. Based on business needs ICT defines and develops new IT services as well as operating and supporting existing IT services. Saab is expanding globally and to improve and speed up global IT standardization and governance a new unit, Product Management, with focus on the IT strategy and future solutions has been created. We are now expanding our architectural team where we need several new talents. Maybe you are one of them!
Your role
As an architect at Product Management your main focus will be strategic proactive work to lay the foundation for Saabs future IT solutions. Depending on your profile you will be involved in everything from forming the Saab group IT strategy, pre studies, sourcing to project implementation work.We are looking for a few new team players with different profiles, more specifically with knowledge and expertise in the areas of Enterprise Architecture, Security Architecture and Infrastructure/ Cloud.Since technology are rapidly changing your ability and attitude to keep up with technology will be more important than your previous experience. Are you an enterprise architect who loves coordinating the architectural work with a holistic perspective or perhaps have a focus on information architecture? Is cyber security your field of interest and expertise and can you navigate the ever changing security landscape? Do you love infrastructural work and are always curious to learn more about the latest technology within networks, servers, storage, cloud, communication etc? Or do you know more than anyone about enterprise applications and how to integrate them by designing state-of-the-art solutions?You will proactively work to structure, document, propose and implement global solutions to help bring value to the core business of Saab. With a holistic perspective in mind, your focus will be to secure that the governing architectural and security principles, guidelines and standards are implemented. At the same time, you will be balancing the functional requirements and quality characteristics against cost to meet the core business expectations in the best possible way. Part of the work will include review of proposed solutions within different technology domains, analyze the current IT environment and recommend solutions for development and to analyze technology and market trends and their potential impact on the architecture and solutions.
Your skills and experience
We expect to find someone that really makes a difference and takes great responsibility in the daily work. You have a high customer focus and ability to interpret and translate requirements to solutions that create customer and business value. You can communicate complex technology problems and solutions to different stakeholders. Your drive, curiosity and willingness to develop are outstanding but at the same time you are humble when interacting with both colleagues and customers. You combine a high level of analytical skills and integrity with excellent team work qualities.We believe you have excellent knowledge in IT and architectural work within your domain combined with general knowledge of all components of an enterprise technical architecture. You have experience as technical lead or architect within a global organization with a complex IT environment where you have successfully developed architecture roadmaps and designed and implemented architectures into proven solutions. Good knowledge in information/IT-security and latest technology trends such as cloud etc. are important for this strategic position. You are fluent in both Swedish and English and have a solid background with a Ph.D./M.Sc./B.Sc. in engineering/IT or equivalent.This position includes access to classified information, therefore you are required to conduct a security screening in accordance with the Protective Security Act and be approved for security clearance by the authority.The selection process will take place continuously, so please send in your application as soon as possible.
