hela Sverige Enterprise Information Services is providing the Volvo Car Group with analytics and data management services. We need to modernize our services and their underlying architecture in order to enable a BI-Modal approach to Business Intelligence / Analytics and enable the concept of "The Logical Data Warehouse".
As an Enterprise Data Architect within Enterprise Information Services you are expected to lead the data management architectural work from developing the vision and defining the to-be state all the way through to incrementally establishing the architecture required to support Volvo Cars global analytical and data management needs. And also secure that this is in alignment with the Volvo Cars strategies and key stakeholders.
Main responsibilities
* Lead the modernization and globalization of Enterprise Information Services and the architectural transformation required to:
* enable a BI-Modal approach to BI/Analytics
* enable the concept of "The Logical Data Warehouse"
* enable support for enterprise / regional / local analytical requirements
* govern the implementation of above
* Increase the efficiency of Enterprise Information Services by automation techniques
* Making sure EIS has an architecture in order to support data being managed in accordance with data governance directives
* Implement architectural governance by leading the EIS architectural office and exercise design reviews on suggested solutions (new development and enhancements)
* Setting / maintaining interfaces to surrounding enterprise technical capabilities like storage, operations, security, application integration etc.
* Interface to information governance (Information Management Office)
* Member of Volvo Cars ATC forum (Application & Technology Forum) representing Enterprise Information/Data Management & Analytics area
Required documented experience
* A minimum of 10 years of experience in working with enterprise data management architectures in a structured fashion using frameworks and methodologies
* Experience from designing large scale enterprise data warehouse and analytics architectures
* Experience from architectures and tools for Data Exploration; Advanced analytics, ML&AI (Big Data/Data Lake)
* Experience from architectures and tools for Data visualisation
* Experience from architectures and tools for Managed Self-service BI
* Experience from Data Integration and interoperability architectures incl. data virtualisation and data federation
* Experience of Metadata driven Data warehouse automation
* University degree or equivalent proven working experience
Required skills
* An Enterprise Architecture Framework e.g. Togaf
* A Data Management Framework e.g. the DAMA Data Mgmnt Framework
* Data warehousing and ETL/ELT
* Cloud- and hybrid analytical architectures
* Information and data modelling
* Dimensional modelling
* Kimball and Inmon data warehouse styles
* Process modeling
* Metadata management (repositories, catalogues, discovery and data lineage)
Meritorious
* Good knowledge of ITIL
* Experience of agile processes and DevOps
* Experience within the automotive sector and embedded systems
Personal Qualities
* Proficiency in requirements elicitation (Engaged) and documentation
* Good resource, cost and time management ability
* Strategic and holistic perspective when examining a challenge
* Enable international collaboration with the global community
* Excellent ability to build good relations to executives, colleagues, customers and project teams
